Reduce + Re-use + Recycle
We all know about the issues of plastic, as highlighted by the WI End Plastic Soup campaign, but what is the knock on effect of reducing plastic? For July’s meeting, we’ll be looking at the impact of ditching plastic through a quiz and a talk followed by an evening of crafts.
Recent Danish research found that a cotton tote needs to be re-used thousands of times before it meets the environmental performance of plastic bags. So, we’re going to turn to crafts to ‘pimp’ the (no doubt) multiple ones stuffed in your cupboard at home.
